ChargeTrack ("we", "our", or "us") helps EV drivers log charging sessions, explore supercharger locations, and compare activity on leaderboards. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

  • Account information: username, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), and optional public display name.
  • Location data: GPS coordinates when you check in at a supercharger or use map features that require your location.
  • Vehicle information: vehicle details you add to your garage, such as VIN, make, model, and year.
  • App activity: check-ins, trips, leaderboard participation, friend connections, and charger submissions you create in the app.
  • Support messages: information you send through our contact form.

How We Use Information

  • Create and manage your account and login sessions.
  • Verify check-ins near supercharger locations and record charging activity.
  • Display maps, stats, leaderboards, and optional public profile information.
  • Review user-submitted charger updates and respond to support requests.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. If you choose to make activity public, certain profile and check-in information may be visible to other users. We use service providers such as hosting and database providers to operate the app. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored using industry-standard security practices. Passwords are hashed and are not stored in plain text.

Your Choices

You can control whether certain activity is public, update profile settings, and request deletion of your account and associated personal data on our account deletion page. If you delete your account, personal identifiers are removed and anonymized check-in and trip activity may be retained for aggregate statistics.
