Request removal of your personal data from ChargeTrack. Your account will be deleted and you will no longer be able to sign in.
What happens when your account is deleted
We remove all personal information tied to your account — including your email, username, password, garage, friends, and profile settings — so you can no longer be identified in ChargeTrack.
To preserve overall charging statistics and map activity, we keep a non-identifying record of your past check-ins and trips. That activity is reassigned to an internal anonymous system account and can no longer be linked back to you.
How to request account deletion
To delete your ChargeTrack account, follow these steps:
Send a message with the subject Account Deletion Request.
Include the email address and username tied to your ChargeTrack account.
We will verify the request, delete your account, and anonymize any retained activity within 30 days.
For security, deletion requests must come from the email address registered to your ChargeTrack account, or include enough information for us to verify ownership.
Personal data that will be deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
Account information (email, username, password, public display name)
Garage and vehicle associations linked to your account
Friend connections and pending friend requests
Charger submissions you created
Password reset tokens and active login sessions
Your ability to sign in or recover the account
Activity we keep in anonymized form
The following data may be retained after deletion, but only in a form that cannot identify you:
Check-in records — which supercharger was visited, when the check-in occurred, and whether proximity was verified
Trip records — start/end chargers and trip timing
When this data is retained, we:
Reassign it to an internal anonymous system account (not linked to any real user)
Remove vehicle/VIN links from that activity
Replace exact check-in GPS coordinates with the associated supercharger location
Remove public visibility so it no longer appears as your personal activity
After this process, the retained records are used only for aggregate statistics and map activity — not to identify individual users.
Other data that may be kept
Support or deletion-request messages needed to process your request, retained only as long as necessary to complete deletion.
Anonymized or aggregated statistics that cannot be used to identify you (for example, total check-in counts across all users).
Information we are required to retain by law, such as limited security records, for up to 90 days where applicable.
